"On the phone or in person these folks will find your part. I called and they said they would have a few of the parts I needed but recommended another place for those hard-to-find parts. Stopped by and they ended up having everything I needed - and more. Haven't used them for repair but wouldn't hesitate in the future." - Douglas V.
"I've had my 5th-wheel for 10 years now, and it's been to Almaden RV on two occasions that I can remember: 1) The first weekend out, I tried to stuff it under a gas station ceiling that was 6" to low, and caught myself before I touched the roof -- but not before I dragged the slide-out across the concrete reinforced pipe that protects the gas pump (turned to sharp). Chris and Larry took care of my 5r then and returned it looking brand-new within a week, and helped me work with the insurance company. 2) Recently the 5r was caught in a *really* nasty cross-wind northbound on I-5 and it ripped 15' of aluminum off the bottom of the trailer (didn't separate and present a hazard to others, just pulled WAY back, but was still barely attached). Because I'd been so happy with Almaden RV the previous time, I didn't waste time looking anywhere else and called Chris again. Chris made the estimate, told me when it would be ready, and explained exactly what needed to be done. The trailer was ready on-time, as budgeted and looks as good as new -- which is saying something for a 5r with 10 hard years on it. I've read all the reviews, and I know some people weren't exactly thrilled, but I would tell any Yelpers that these are not the norm. Granted, anyone can have an off-day, but I've never had anything but positive results from Chris and crew. Professional, friendly, knowledgeable and reliable -- what more could you ask for?" - Scott R.
"All my little Class C needed was an oil change and a general inspection. They were very fast, friendly, and I was in and out quickly for a reasonable price. Couldn't be happier. Any time I need my RV serviced, this is the place I'll go first." - Chuck T.
"Chris, Candice and Joe are great people to work with. They saved us while we were on our road tip from San Diego to Oregon. We started to smell that bad electrical smell and discovered we were having a problem with our fridge. We were approaching San Jose and called a couple of shops all who really didn't want to help, except Almaden RV. Candice said come on in first thing in the AM and she would have a guy take a look. In the end Chris and Joe had us all fixed up and out of there in about an hour and half. These guys know what they are doing and really bend over backwards to help us along our way. Thank you Almaden RV!" - Jeremy M.
"Seems that people on Yelp only do reviews when they're pissed off. So here's my honest review of Almaden RV. Many years ago I had a Honey motorhome with an intermittant electrical short. After two trips to Alpine (Out of business, and not without reason) I took it to Almaden and they fixed it in less than 2 hours. Never had a problem. I had air bags installed there and never had a problem. Fast forward 10 years and we now have a Montana 2955. It caught fire due to an electrical short so I arranged for it to be towed to Almaden. On the way it FELL off the truck! Inside it looked like a squashed can. (23K in damage) I was sure it would be totaled but Almaden put it back together better than original with self resetting breakers at all high current charge points new wiring & converter and an electrical panel near the batteries very professionally done. They added gussets & welds to the places the frame was showing stress, even though that was not included in the damage. Most of the cabinetry in the front end had to be rebuilt and it's good as new. Better than new. I've been going there for years and have never been disappointed." - Russell C
